After my last experience in giving oral using a non flavored lube, I knew I had to add some taste to my toy box so was happy to have the chance to review System Jo's H2O flavored lubricant. I got the watermelon flavor for review, but System JO has it available in several other flavors as well. (Including Banana, Pineapple, and Tropical Passion...Yum!)
Jo H2O flavored is a water based lubricant and comes in a handy pop top 5.25 oz bottle which is great for easily opening and closing without making a mess. I really love the pop top, all lubricants should come with a cap like this one! No matter how slippery your hands already are, you will have no problems getting the cap opened or closed. You also won't need to worry about squeezing the bottle to make the lube come out, since it is watery enough that it drips out on it's own when you tip the bottle upside down. If the bottle was to tip over with the cap open it would spill, so make sure to snap it closed.
I have never personally had a problem with Glycerine, but some people have said it may cause a yeast infection if used vaginally since it is a sugar. The full list of ingredients are Propyl Paraben, Methyl Paraben, Sodium Carboxy Methyl Cellulose, Glycerine, Purified Water, and natural & artificial Watermelon flavors.
I can't really say that the watermelon flavored lube tastes great, but it isn't terrible either. The flavor reminds me of a jolly rancher, and leaves a slight bit of an after taste but did make oral much sweeter. We used this lube on my husband with a masturbation sleeve and it was wonderfully slippery, didn't dry up or drip off, and best of all I was able to suck and lick the head of his penis without cringing from the bitter taste of the non flavored lube we had previously used while doing this. We used about 4-5 drops each time which was plenty. My husband didn't care for the flavor too much when we tried it on my clitoris, but we mainly wanted to use it on him so that was not a big deal.
Even though I have not previously had a problem with using a flavored lube vaginally, I now avoid it just in case so did not try using this lube during intercourse. It is latex safe, and just as slippery as a silicone based lube so I'm sure it would work just fine if you wanted to use it this way. It didn't leave any stains or greasy feelings and cleaning it up was really as simple as cleaning water up. Wipe it dry with a towel, a washcloth, a T-Shirt from the floor - whatever you choose!
