Is my blog too dark? And an Award!
Labels: Random 8 commentsOn the computer I normally use, I can read the font just fine and that is the computer with the dark monitor! On my other computer, it is even easier to read so I didn't think too much of it. But my husband just told me when he tries to read my blog on the PS3 or on the computer he had access to, the only way he could read it was by highlighting the words. Is anyone else having that problem...Should I change the background or the font color? Maybe an entire makeover? Any suggestions?
I also got another award! This one is Called The Versatile Blogger.
These awards are a lot of work! I would never have time to review if I posted about every one that I received. Please don't feel offended if I didn't post your award!! (ie, The Blogging Slave who gave me an award a while back)
Here are the rules for this award:
1. Thank the person who gave you the award
2. Share seven things about you
3. Nominate 15 newly discovered blogs
4. Let your nominees know about the award
Two people gave me this award so thanks goes to:
Seven things about me:
1~ I'm a video game junky at heart, but don't play many any more. Between blogging, twittering and being mom there just isn't enough time in the day! Oh to go back to the days where I played games all day..I met my husband though an online game, and so did my mom!
2~ I love horror movies, but the ones that scare me the most are the ones about serial killers. This shit could actually happen to anyone! An animated monster? Pfft!
3~ I like pink and purple but I don't think they look good on me so I usually wear black. In fact, if I could get away with dressing like a "punk" or "emo" I would! The look doesn't love me.
4~ I often agree with the man rather than the woman in an argument...I also get along with men way better than with women. Most of my girlfriends don't ask for relationship advice, but the guys do.
5~ I have always wanted to run a pet shelter or even a farm for unwanted or trouble pets. I feel so bad whenever I hear that someone had their pet put down just because they couldn't train them. Not like I know how to train them myself - I adopted my dog when she was an untrained adult and it took me years to house train her.
6~ I was a tomboy growing up, and still rarely wear dresses or skirts (though I love school girl skirts and lingerie!)
7~ I am really bad for putting things off to the last minute. Or even late. I could blame it on my clan motto (Sero Sed Serio - Late but in Earnest) or I could say I run on Pagan Standard Time. Either way, people that know me know to expect me to be late but they know I always come through.
My nominees:
15 is a pretty big number, who thought of this rule???
I haven't gotten around to all of your blogs to let you know yet, I'll get to that. Eventually! This post took me around 3 weeks to finish up - so I hope someone likes it!!

I can read it just fine! I like the grey on black, white on black is harsh on the eyeballs.

Alot of people complain about the darker backgrounds. Personally I don't have a problem with them, but some people believe the darker backgrounds cause eye strain and headaches. Guess it might depend on your monitor too. I did a bunch of research before giving up and having some one do it for me.

if you have any kind of stats of whos visiting your site etc you'll possibly find the number viewing it via ps3 are minimal - It works fine on screen, more than enough contrast, the ps3 may look odd due to the tv screen rather than your site.
I love your themes colors so much - they even helped to inspire the scheme for a theme I'm currently building. I love the shades of grey with the little bursts of pink.

Thank you for the blog award my dear! I'll get mine posted sooner than later. =)
I have a hard time reading anything except white background and black ink. But the opposite really isn't bad at all. The contrast makes it easy to read.
What is hard to read.. are red or green fonts. On any background. [Maybe I'm going color blind.]

Hi, thanks for the comment and for nominating me. I've been quite busy lately and I've got too much stuff to review right now. Off, busy, busy.
I hope you're doing well, and thanks again. I'll be thinking about nominating other blogs, but not sure.
