Heart 2 Heart Blindfold

This will be my first review for Babeland here on my blog, since I already had my eye on the Heart 2 Heart leather restraint set which I had seen up for review that was what I chose! We have very little experience, but a lot of desire for bondage play but I knew from having a good friend who was a pro dom that having a good blindfold (or a few!) was a must.

The Heart 2 Heart Blindfold is made out of high quality leather and the inside is lined with a soft suede. They are thin, flexible, and adorned with the cutest red hearts across the top with red stitching around the edges. Like many other blindfolds, they are held on by an elastic that goes around the back of your head. I had a wonderful father from whom passed the gene on to me which gave me a "big head" and this elastic is pretty tight on me. Not quite so tight that I can't use it at all, but after a while it does start feeling too tight and I needed to take it off before it gave me a headache. Since I'm a woman, a man with a big head might have even more problems with this.

My husband on the other hand, has a skinny little head that goes along with the rest of his body and the elastic didn't bother him at all. What did bother him though was the leather pressing into the bridge of his nose. It pressed into my nose too, but the tightness of the elastic bothered me more so it was the first thing that I noticed. My nose is also smaller than his, and I think it is possibly pressing into his more than mine.

The blindfold is pretty effective at blocking out all vision other than a sliver at the bottom which is excellent for sensation play, and sensory deprivation. It's amazing the difference that blocking out your vision makes! A blindfold can be used to tease and tantalize, by not allowing you to know what's coming next and can also prove useful while simply relaxing or meditating.

It may not have worked out the best for me, but I really love the black and red hearts featured in this set. It is truly gorgeous and well made. I'm thinking it may be possible to stretch out the elastic enough that it won't be so tight on me but I haven't tried since I don't want to ruin it. If you need to clean this, you can gently wipe it down with a damp cloth.

What next?
